These bags are handwoven from discarded fishing rope and nets that wash up on the shores of Sri Lanka. It is a painstaking process to gather, untangle, sort and weave into these beautiful tote bags, perfect for shopping trips or for a trip to the beach.
Each one comes with a little sea-inspired charm made from recycled plastic bottle tops, such as a shark or a turtle. Re-using waste products and providing a fair wage for the women who weave them - what could be better?
